knowing you have so much time on your hands!

Look, we all procrastinate in some shape of form and we will most likely continue to do it for the rest of our lives. It’s a natural human nature, however, the only thing we can control about it is how much we procrastinate.

When it comes to my brain it sometimes does what it wants. I’ll be so motivated and pumped to get something done, but when it comes to it my mind would disappear into a daydream or something. So it made me wonder why do we procrastinate like this? what makes our brain delay something that we know is good for us and productive.

One of the most common answers that I came across was that we procrastinate due to fear. Fear of failing at the task we are about to embark on. It might be a course we are looking to take or maybe some studying or even work-related things. Sometimes we have to do it and sometimes we want to do it, and sometimes our brain does not allow us. It’s because of a lack of motivation. Low self-confidence. Fear of failure.

We tend to sometimes think too deeply about situations or tasks, that we tend to put ourselves off it completely and delay it maybe till … I don’t know… till like next year. Which does no justice to our lives? Completely stripping us of any progress, making us feel shitty about not doing what we said and wrote, we would…
